Advanced Life Support
The York Ambulance Association staffs 3 full-time Paramedics working two 24 hour shifts a week. Four per-diem Paramedics work the 24 hour Saturday Shifts. Our Paramedics offer immediate aid to patients in the Town of York with the highest level of out-of-hospital care available. They are qualified to treat patients of all severity levels, including Critical Care patients. While on duty, he or she is the only paramedic available in the 56 square miles of York.

Basic/Intermediate Emergency Medical Technicians
York Ambulance staffs a compliment of Basic and Intermediate Emergency Medical Technicians. These EMTs work 12 hour shifts on a per-diam basis. Their duties are to work along side the Paramedic in treating patients.

EMS Mountain Bicycle (MTB)
The EMS Bike is staffed in the summer time at York Beach with either a Paramedic or an EMT. This acts as a quick response method in the heavily populated areas around York Beach.
